Mining.com.au: VRX Silica brings CEO Swiericzuk on full-time

VRX Silica (ASX:VRX) has appointed Tony Swiericzuk to succeed as CEO on a full-time basis, effective yesterday, following the company’s succession plan for former Managing Director Bruce Maluish’s retirement.

Maluish indicated his intention to retire from his position in December last year. VRX Silica appointed Swiericzuk to step into the role of CEO in February this year on a part-time basis to guide this transition.

Swiericzuk is a seasoned mining executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience. His career spans large-scale mines and bulk ports.
